Hotel food... makes dieting REALLY tricky

Hotel food… makes dieting REALLY tricky

Comments Off

I’m currently away with work, and staying in a hotel. This is somewhat of a tragedy for the dieting.  I’m trying to get into the pool each morning (without looking like a fright) but the actual meals are the biggest problem.

The breakfast is really a challenge as it’s a self service buffet, but as after 2 days of a full English breakfast, i’m sick of sausages, so i’m eating “regular” breakfasts, but the evening main meal still brings it’s challenges.  The menu consists of cream laden sauces, pastry filled pies, more cream in mashed potatoes, or even worse fried chips, pizza or burgers!¬ It’s driving me crazy, but there’s only so much eating from the local supermarket i can do without any utensils, or any equipment. So i’ve reverted to selecting the dish of the day, which is usually a roast of the day / roast dinner, but surely for 2 weeks this is going to leave me looking like a roast tin!

So if you’ve got any ideas for how to survive hotel menus i’d love to hear from you!¬
