Motivation maniac!

Motivation maniac!

As if looking at myself naked in a mirror wasn’t motivation enough, I am trying various methods to get more motivated to lose weight.  I just don’t know what is wrong with me but I don’t quite feel that I am ‘in the zone’ yet.

So I have:-

1.Read lots of healthy eating books – the thought being that I will be inspired to try all the nice recipes and thus lose weight.  This of course falls down because yes I am cooking up a storm, but I am still tempted by the alcohol and chocolate.

2.Watched Gillian McKeith put the fear of god into people.  I feel that this is just sensational shock tactics and I am nowhere near as bad or fat as the people who appear on this show.

3.Watched X-Weighted.  I really like this show and it makes me feel quite inspired.  I want to get out there and run up a mountain!

4.Listened to some motivational cd’s.  Now I found this a very relaxing experience, if a little bizarre.  It is supposed to make me more strong and confident by activating my subconscious brain and thus I will be succesful in anything and everything I put my mind to, including weight loss.  I will keep you posted on this one as I need to practice the techniques.  Please let me know if any of you can recommend some motivational cd’s that have worked for you.
